  5. Nov 11,  · In a previous post somewhere Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis was mentioned briefly as having a big sound. I had to check out anyone with the nickname "Lockjaw". I pictured a guy blowing a" mouthpiece and a number 6 reed carved from treated lumber. This guy has a huge bluesy sound and can articulate, growl, and moan through his tenor in a hurt you kind of way.
